Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is available across many of our ranges and is probably the most popular decorative metal plate on the market.
It’s durability, combined with contemporary brushed finish make it a popular choice for renovations and for upgrading switches and sockets. Often called brushed chrome, brushed steel or satin steel, the name comes from the horizontal or vertical grain finish, visible across the plate and is very slightly darker than our satin chrome.
The colour works well with a wide variety of wall coverings, and is great at matching to other brushed steel hardware, such as taps and door furniture.
The brushed effect is both scratch and finger resistant, and is generally viewed as more hard wearing than the polished or mirrored finishes available. The brushing effect is horizontal on our BG plates, and vertical across our Hamilton ranges
